Submission of the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP)regarding the Human Rights Commission

This document displays the submission of the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) to the Theme Committee 6, Sub-Theme Committee 6.3 regarding the Human Rights Commission. The ACDP believes in human rights in the sense of a competency received from Bible. The ACDP supports the goal of having one body to control the process of change from an ethical and equity perspective, rather than separate commissions to look at separate areas of discrimination. Pursuant to their views, this can be seen as the way of ensuring national resources to be distributed for the national good. In addition the concept of equality will be instrumental in the work of the proposed body to oversee the transitional aspects of human rights issues.
