Preliminary Recommendations of Commission on Provincial Government (CPG) on the Number and Boundaries of Provinces

This document displays the list of matters considered by the Commission on Provincial (CPG) such as historical boundaries including those set out in Part 1 of Schedule 1 of the interim Constitution (i.e. the present provincial boundaries), former provincial boundaries, magisterial district boundaries and infrastructures. In addition, the comments of the Northern Cape Province on the interim recommendations of the CPG in respect of the key constitutional issues provincial and local government enclosed to this document for the consideration by the Constitutional Assembly.
