Greece's ruling party submits proposal for constitutional reform

The ruling New Democracy party has submitted its proposal for a planned revision of the Constitution to Parliament, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced on Tuesday. Mitsotakis said the plan includes “bold, groundbreaking changes across all fields,” from amending an Article on the criminal liability of ministers, to selecting the leadership of the Judiciary. It also provides safeguards against the imposition of retroactive taxes, and links the civil servants’ protected employment status to performance evaluations."
