Special Category Election for Constitutional Loya Jirga

This press release, produced by the Constitutional Commission Secretariat on the 13th of November, 2003, offers information about the progress of special category elections for the Constitutional Loya Jirga, and reports that they are progressing according to schedule.  It references the seat allocations of Internally Deplaced Persons and refugees, and their elections in Kohat and Timur Girah, Pakistan, as well as Mashahd, Iran.  It also details the elections of women, particularly in the Ghore, Khost and Parwan provinces.  Elections for nomads are also reported on, particulary in the Ghazni and Khost provinces.  Finally, it details the elections for Sikhs and Hindus, particularly in the Khost province.
