People's Daily Graphic Coverage of Political Parties Law

This document was published by the People's Daily Graphic on May 15th, 1992.  The Political parties Law of 1992, which sets out the regulations for the formation and conduct of political parties had been promulgated by the the Provisional National Defence Council. As part of the People's Daily Graphic's public education effort, they published the law with the hope that Ghanaians would know what was required of political parties when the ban on political activities was lifted on May 18.  It includes information on the registration, code of conduct, notification of changes, funding, informing the Commission, and prohibitions of parties, as well as powers of the Chairman.
