This document is a 12-point understanding that was reached between the seven political parties and the Nepal Communist Party (Maoists).  The points reflect issues like democracy, peace, the conflict in the country, a competitive multiparty system of governance, allowing displaced political parties to return, understanding past weaknesses and mistakes, human rights, election, nationality, participation of civil society, and an investigation of past incidents.
