Senator Josefa Imelda “Imee” Marcos on Tuesday highlighted the need to introduce reforms to – not scrap – the country’s party-list system to rid it of abuses and corruption.
Marcos, chair of the Senate committee on electoral reforms, said it was important that the government retains the party-list system and strengthens it to ensure that the marginalized groups are well-represented in Congress.
