Zambian opposition asks court to weigh in on constitutional review process

A senior official from Zambia’s opposition Patriotic Front (PF) has taken President Hakainde Hichilema to court, accusing him of launching a constitutional review process without following the country’s legal procedures. The PF leader, who also serves as Secretary for the Tonse Alliance coalition, argues that the Hichilema acted unilaterally in setting up a reform process that should have been subjected to wider parliamentary and public scrutiny.
