Zambia: Hichilema Presents Constitution Roadmap

<p>United Party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema has unveiled a six point proposed roadmap for the enactment of the new constitution before the 2016 general elections.</p><p>Hichilema in a statement issued today says this is to demonstrate the UPND’s commitment to the promise made to the Zambian people to deliver a new constitution.<br>He says he will within seven days of taking office immediately appoint a Constitutional Delivery Team to oversee the validation of the proposed constitution.</p><p>Hichilema explains that the Constitutional Delivery Team will work with the Referendum Commission which will be the Electoral Commission, which will be appointed immediately after taking office.</p>
