UN envoy withdraws consultative mechanism proposal for Syria constitution

Staffan de Mistura, the UN envoy for Syria, withdrew the proposal to form a consultative mechanism on the Syrian constitution, which he proposed for Syria talks in Geneva. A reason of this quick retreat was reaction of the opposition official delegation in Geneva who said the document was not on the agenda and that there are many reservations about it.
