Somalia distributes printed copies of constitution to increase public access

Somali parliamentary leaders, constitutional review officials and justice ministry representatives on Wednesday launched printed copies of the Federal Constitution in a move aimed at widening public access to the country’s foundational legal document and supporting its implementation by state institutions. [ . . . ] Officials said the initiative will give Somali citizens greater access to the constitution while helping institutions implement its provisions more effectively. [ . . . ] The launch comes as Somalia continues work on reviewing and finalizing its constitutional framework through parliamentary and institutional processes.
