Op-ed: Australia's Constitution ready for overhaul after latest dual-citizenship fiasco

The dual-citizenship problem plaguing Australia's Parliament might have claimed its biggest victim yet, with Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce now under scrutiny for his links to New Zealand, but this latest revelation might have one upside: the rewriting and updating of Australia's Constitution. A constitutional lawyer has told Xinhua that Australia's Constitution, first drafted in the 1890s, may be "outdated," meaning it may no longer represent modern Australia - one which is overwhelmingly welcoming to those of different backgrounds.
