Nigerian Speaker of the House of Representatives pledges to amend constitution and electoral act

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has said that the constitution, the electoral act would be amended by the ninth assembly. Gbajabiamila, while speaking at a meeting with a team from Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC) in his office on Thursday, October 31, said the House will also give priority to the Petroleum Industry Governance Bill (PIGB), the Police Reform Bill, the Companies and the Allied Matters Act (CAMA) amendment bill. He also said that the House will ensure that appropriate work is done on these bills to enable their assent by President Muhammadu Buhari.
