Niger launches a national conference on constitutional change and formation of civilian government

General Abdourahamane Tiani, head of the Nigerien National Council for the Safeguarding of the Homeland (CNSP), launched a national conference on Saturday that promises to redefine Niger’s political direction. With the participation of more than 700 delegates representing various social and professional sectors and the diaspora, the meeting is a milestone in the country’s political transition, with the mission of developing proposals that will shape the future structure of government.
