Kosovo's president calls on parliament to find solution to deadlock in accordance with constitution

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has called on parliamentary parties to find a solution in accordance with the country's Constitution to establish the new Parliament and Government as soon as possible. Osman's call comes at a time when the Assembly has remained hostage to the selection of its deputy speaker from the Serb minority - the final step necessary for the final constitution of the Assembly. [ . . . ] Deputies will reconvene on Saturday to continue the constitutive session where it left off on Thursday. Voting separately for vice presidents from minorities has raised suspicions that the country's Constitution may have been violated, as in the past they have been voted in a package.
