Consultations on constitutional reform take place in Haiti

The Steering Committee of the National Conference informs that the constitutional review process, initiated by the Government, is continuing dynamically across the country. In 5 departments and 64 municipalities, the departmental meetings are mobilizing the vital forces of the Nation, with significant participation of women, young people and committed citizens. These consultations reflect a common desire to ensure a transparent and inclusive transition, up to the expectations of the Haitian people. This process, based on dialogue and citizen engagement, aims to build a new Constitution that embodies the values ​​of social justice, solidarity and progress. These departmental meetings, organized throughout the country, must result in significant amendments to the Constitution. These reforms aim to correct the shortcomings that have often led to poorly structured and problematic electoral processes.
