Chilean president to submit draft constitution to referendum

The president of Chile, Gabriel Boric, will receive the draft Constitution from the Constitutional Council to submit it to a referendum in December. The official delivery ceremony will take place at the former headquarters of the National Congress, in the presence of about 300 guests, including ministers, representatives of Parliament and participants in the process. The head of state will sign the presidential decree that calls for the referendum, with mandatory voting, to take place on December 17th, in which citizens must vote to approve or reject the draft Constitution.
