Central African Republic: Sudan pledges support as new constitution expected

<p>Sudanese parliament expressed readiness to provide all the necessary support to achieve a national dialogue process in the neighbouring Central African Republic (CAR) where lawmakers are expected to adopt a new constitution this month.</p><p>The following the adoption of the new constitution in CAR, the legislators plan to hold national forums across the troubled country for public feedback and will call for national reconciliation ahead of general elections scheduled for February 2015.</p><p>In a joint press conference held with the visiting speaker of Central African Republic's National Transition Council (CNT), Alexander Ferdinand Nguendet, the head of the National Assembly Fatih Izz Al-Deen, said Sudan is willing to support national reconciliation and stability in the CAR.</p> Read the full article here: All Africa
