Bulgaria: Constitutional amendment fails on parliamentary vote but President and PM remain optimistic about positive outcome

<p>“We received 130 votes in favour of the amendments to the Constitution, but we need 160 votes.”&nbsp;That is what Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, said during the Annual Conference of Ambassadors of the Republic of Bulgaria, a reporter of FOCUS News Agency announced.&nbsp;“We moved the pension and health reforms forward. I hope to move forward the judicial reform during the leader’s council meeting today, because we have not got much time.&nbsp;<span style="line-height: 20.3999996185303px;">We adopted a judicial reform strategy, which received great support in the Parliament. Subsequently, a group of lawmakers submitted several amendments to the Constitution.
