Bill in Ukraine would decrease number of legislators and alter election system

The Parliamentary Committee for legal policy recommended the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to pass the draft law No.1017, which offers to cut the constitutional line-up of the Parliament from 450 to 300 MPs. The Committee has once again revised the document and concluded that the draft law filed by the President is eligible to be approved by the Parliament. The bill was registered in August 2019, on the first work day of the Parliament's 9th convocation.
