600 lawyers sign manifesto in support of constitutionality of Catalan referendum

Over 600 Spanish lawyers signed a manifesto in support of Catalonia's independence referendum. The manifesto reads that the referendum is in line with the Constitution. It further states that the issue is more of a political than legal problem. Finally, it reiterates that in a democracy "it is the internal constitutional framework that allows the citizens to propose substantial changes in the political and territorial organization, and that provides instruments to channel this democratic aspiration".
