First Africa Pilot Workshop of the Capacity Training Programme for Constitution Building Practitioners

The Constitution Building Processes (CBP) Programme at International IDEA and the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) Kenya organized the piloting of two modules of the Constitution Building Training Programme: “Introduction to post-conflict constitution building” and “Introduction to human and constitutional rights” modules.   A team of three facilitators who were tasked to engage the participants-learners in an interactive learning methodology. The interactive learning sessions enhanced the experiences of the learners and were not focused on one particular country. Twenty five participants were drawn from a number of African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Somalia, Rwanda and Zimbabweand were carefully chosen from the regional networks of ICJ.
