United Nations Resolution 435 to give Namibia Independence

This document is the Security Council Resolution 435 (1978) of 29th September, 1978.  It grants Namibia independence and declares that the Namibia situation should be settled, that South Africa's illegal administration should withdraw, establishes a United Nations Transition Assistance Group (UNTAG), details co-operation measures, and declares that the illegal administration in Namibia are banned from the electoral process.
