Democratic Party Submission: Human Dignity, Servitude and Forced Labour and Right to Privacy

Submission by the Democratic Party (DP) on Human Dignity, Servitude and Forced Labour and Right to Privacy. The submission discusses these rights, with regard to application of the right, who should be the bearers of the right and nature of the duty to be imposed on the state. According to the DP the concept of dignity should have a central place in the new constitution. The DP believes that the provisions against servitude and forced labour should apply in all sectors of society and override any contrary provisions. They further believe that the right to privacy has to be reformulated and reconsidered in the new constitution.
