Democratic Party - Agenda Item 3 "One, Sovereign State"

Submission by the Democratic Party concerning a South African single sovereign state. The submission deals with provincial autonomy, minority participation, community self determination and traditional monarchies. The DP argues in favour of a federal system of government to enable more people to take part in the process of government. Suggestions concerning how to promote minority participation are presented. The DP is opposed to any self determination based on race. They are in favour of creating an institution through which the views of traditional leaders can be ascertained.
