Preliminary ANC Submission - Theme Committee 4 - Further Socio-Economic Rights

Preliminary submission by ANC regarding socio-economic rights. ANC believes that the wide-scale injustices and inequalities of the past require the inclusion of socio-economic rights in the Bill of Rights. The submission deals with the content and formulation of the following rights: right to shelter, right to health care, right to social assistance, food and water. ANC states that all citizens are bearers of these rights and the state has a duty to protect and enforce them.
