Objectives
The project aims to support both Houses of Parliament, and the five Commissions Citoyennes, (established by the Global Accord) to fulfil their Constitutional roles to support democratisation during D.R. Congo’s transition, and to begin to re-establish popular confidence in state institutions. Advice on the draft Constitution. AIT has coordinated a joint technical experts note for the Sénat and Assemblée National on the potential tensions and weaknesses of the draft Constitution, and means to mitigate future conflict risks.
