Opinions of the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) on the Intergovernmental Relations

This document displays the opinions of African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) on intergovernmental relations. ACDP supports the idea that considering the government as the servant of God should bring better life for all citizens. The ACDP is in favor of a system of intergovernmental relations where the national level concentrates on particular and constitutionally defined aspects and where it has only the powers that these functions necessitate. According to their views, the emphasis should be on the autonomy of the other tiers of government in their respective areas of jurisdiction. Moreover, ACDP is supporting decentralized and federal systems rather than centralized systems.
