Submission of the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) on the Relationships between the Levels of Government

This document displays the submission of the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) to the Constitutional Assembly Theme Committee Three regarding the relationship between levels of the government. Biblical foundations and decentralization of the Government, delimitation and overriding of powers and capacities were discussed explicitly in the document. Biblical references are the standpoints of the ACDP. Based on ACDP’s opinions, the government is to be the servant of God for the good of all citizens. Thus, governments should exist for two very basic purposes: regulate society as a ruler of men in the attitude of a servant to God, and to do this to the benefit of all who submit under it's authority.
