Submission of the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) regarding Freedom of Religion, Belief and Opinion

This document displays the submission of the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) to the Constitutional Assembly about the necessity of adding a provision regarding freedom of religion, belief and opinion to the Bill of Fundamental Rights. According to the ACDP, a secular state will face several problems. Thus, ACDP supports the ideas that every person shall have the right to freedom of conscience, religion, thought, belief and opinion and religious observances may be conducted at State or State-aided institutions, basis and attendance at them should be free and voluntary."
