Review After Enactment
In some countries, a judicial body may have the power to assess the constitutionality of a law after its enactment. This review may occur when the constitutionality of the law is raised as an issue in a trial or when a direct complaint made about the constitutionality of the law. The process of triggering review of a law after its enactment after enactment varies from country to country but is sometimes linked to whether the country follows a common law or civil law tradition.
