On Monday, the Justice, Legislation, and Human Rights Committee of the House of Councillors approved, by majority vote, Organic Bill No. 35.24, which sets out the conditions and procedures for challenging the constitutionality of a law. The vote took place in the presence of Justice Minister Abdellatif Ouahbi, with five votes in favor, one against, and two abstentions. During the session, the government accepted three amendments proposed by the majority groups and the Haraki group, which were incorporated into a consensus version adopted by the committee. The first amendment concerns the title of Chapter III, which deals with the conditions and procedures for raising a constitutional challenge before the Constitutional Court.
