Korea's constitutional council to hold public debate on amendment

The Constitutional Council of the Republic of Korea holds a debate on constitutional amendment and creates a "reconstitutional amendment" that reflects opinions from all walks of life. The Constitutional Assembly announced on the 10th that it will hold a 'decentralized power structure constitutional amendment debate' at the National Assembly Hall on the 12th. This forum is meaningful in that it will be jointly held by academia, civic groups, and local governments, including the Constitutional Assembly, which has emphasized the need for constitutional amendment. Political circles, including ruling and opposition parties, will also participate in in-depth discussions on how to amend the constitution, which is a matter of public interest.
