President-elect John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to addressing corruption and reducing inefficiencies within the public sector as key strategies for advancing the nation’s development. [ . . . ] Central to his vision is the pursuit of constitutional reform.
Mahama remarked, “One of the first things we will do is revisit the constitutional review process and explore how we can restructure the framework to create a more dynamic constitution moving forward.” [ . . . ] Mahama further emphasized the importance of aligning constitutional amendments with the demands of modern governance. He advocated for measures to hold public officials accountable and enforce strict penalties for corrupt practices.
