In Dominican Republic, national dialogue convened by president fails to make progress

The apple of discord within the process is the constitutional reform project that has many headwinds, but the rest of the initiatives in the hands of the Economic and Social Council do not seem to be very favorable either. [...] While the government insists on hastening the discussion, the [opposition parties] are adamant that they will not accept to modify the Constitution as it is not a priority, and instead recommend that authorities focus on dealing with inflation.
