Qatar prepares for Shura Council elections

Preparations are in progress, for the Shura Council elections in October, by the committee concerned, local Arabic daily Arrayah has reported quoting Brigadier General Salem Saqr al-Muraikhi, director of the Legal Affairs Department at Ministry of Interior (MoI). 'There are separate teams working for the successful conduct of the election,' he said while explaining that sub committees were formed after the Amiri decision was issued to form the Supreme Committee. The sub committees are meeting regularly to draft laws, regulations and decisions while working to complete the electoral process.
