The Application to Certify a New Constitutional Text in Terms of Section 71 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1993

Submissions from the National Party of South Africa objecting to the certification of the new Constitution of the Republic of South Africa. The reasons for the objection are essentially that the powers and functions of the provinces provided for in the new Constitution are substantially less than and substantially inferior to those provided for in the interim Constitution and the omission of employers' right of recourse to the lock-out purpose of collective bargaining.
