Sri Lanka constitutional committee will not make details public in the interest of consensus

<p>The Steering Committee appointed by the Constitutional Assembly to draft a new constitutional said today that it will endeavor to submit its interim report to the CA by November 2016.</p><p>Chief of the Staff and Deputy Secretary General of Parliament Neil Iddawala said in a press statement that the Steering Committee at its meeting held yesterday discussed three main areas namely electoral reforms, devolution and the executive.&nbsp;<span style="line-height: 20.4px;">He said that while extensive discussions have been held in respect of certain areas, no definite decisions will be made until all matters are fully considered.</span></p>
