<p>The Attorney General yesterday said multiple proposals to amend the Constitution over the two-thirds gender rule were slowing the process.</p><p>Citing some of the pending bills in the National Assembly, Githu Muigai said having many amendments for discussion hindered the realisation of gender parity, which has remained a thorny issue since the promulgation of the Constitution. <span style="line-height: 20.4px;">“One of my concerns is that the more bills we have, the more we muddy the waters and the less quickly we can realise the rule,” said Githu.</span></p>
