<p>Thailand’s National Council for Reconciliation (NRC) will vote this weekend on whether to approve a draft of the new constitution. If it passes the country will hold a referendum next year, but the leading political parties strongly oppose the draft calling it undemocratic. <span style="line-height: 20.4px;">After months of back and forth the NRC is set to vote on whether to accept Thailand’s 20th constitution. It is expected the draft will sail through the vote by the military-government appointed NRC, allowing it to be put to a public referendum in 2016.</span></p>
