<p>Justice minister Dr Ngosa Simbyakula yesterday deferred the Constitution Amendment Bill No. 6 of 2015 to the next sitting, after realising that the ruling party did not have the required two-thirds majority in the House to pass the law. <span style="line-height: 20.3999996185303px;">Dr Simbyakula argued that the government needed to consult further before proceeding with the Bill, which seeks to amend the current Constitution and increase the number of parliamentary constituencies from 150 to 156. </span></p>
