Barbados plans to replace Queen with ceremonial president

<p>&nbsp;</p><p>It has long been independent from Britain, but the eastern Caribbean island of&nbsp;<a class=" u-underline" data-component="auto-linked-tag" data-link-name="auto-linked-tag" href="http://www.theguardian.com/world/barbados">Barbados</a>&nbsp;looks set to sever links with the Queen, drawing up plans to replace her as head of state with a president.</p>
