Japan: Insights into the World - Devise viable path to revise Constitution

<div id="articleContentBodyFirstBlock"><p>In the wake of the Liberal Democratic Party’s decisive victory in December’s House of Representatives election, two groups of people in this country have shown completely different reactions to the result, especially in regard to a possible revision of the Constitution. One of them has misgivings about the likelihood of the administration of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe paving the way toward amending the supreme law. The other group looks forward to seeing his Cabinet accelerating such a move. For my part, I want to take up what I consider the key and realistic points on the matter.</p>
