Zambia: Grand Coalition Ready to Support MPs Protest On Constitution

<p>The Grand Coalition on the Constitution says they will support planned constitution protests by the opposition Members of Parliament in the house if government remains adamant on releasing the draft constitution.</p><div id="in-article-p-1"></div><div id="in-article-p-minus-8"></div><p>Coalition chairperson Father Leonard Chiti said the coalition was fully behind any form of pressure that would push government to yield on the demands for a new constitution.</p><div id="in-article-p-2"></div><div id="in-article-p-minus-7"></div><p>He said it was unfortunate that the executive as one of the critical arms of government had not followed on their promise to deliver a people driven constitution.</p>
