Tanzania: Panel set up to arbitrate CA warring sides

<p>Following&nbsp; the growing impasse between Constituent Assembly (CA) members, the Tanzania Constitutional Forum (TCF) has declared strong-willed efforts to coordinate a reconciliation process between the CA leadership and the coalition dubbed Coalition for a People’s Constitution (Ukawa) in a bid to resolve the contentious issues that have prompted the unhealthy political division.<br> <br> The forum is gearing to end up the impasse that started on 16th April when Ukawa members walked out of CA session in protest against what they termed as 'discriminatory contributions. And since then they have rejected repeated calls to return to the chamber and take part in the plenary sessions.<br>
