Kikwete dissolves Tanzania's Constitutional Review Commission

<p>Tanzania's Preseident Jakaya Kikwete has officially ended the term of the Constitutional Review Commission (CRC) which was established as per Constitutional Review Act of 2011. </p><p>A statement issued in Dar es Salaam by the Directorate of Presidential Communications said that the move is as per Section 31 of the Constitutional Review Act, Chapter 3 which gives powers to the President to declare end of the commission's term.</p> <p>The announcement comes shortly after the CRC Chairman, Judge Joseph Warioba has made his presentation of the second draft of the new constitution to the Constituent Assembly last week which was followed by President Kikwete's.</p>
