Myanmar: Aan San Suu Kyi rejects findings by constitution review committee

<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <o:OfficeDocumentSettings> <o:AllowPNG ></o> </o:OfficeDocumentSettings> </xml><![endif]--> <p><span style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">Opposition leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has urged the public to ignore a report by the former joint parliamentary constitution review committee, which claims that more than 100,000 people petitioned against amending Article 59(f) of the charter.</span></p> <p><span style="mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">Article 59(f) refers to the presidency clause, which prevents the Daw Aung San Suu Kyi from acquiring the presidential role even if her party is elected in the 2015 general election.</span></p>
