Agreement Between the Government and the Madhesi People's Right Forum

This agreement, made between the government of Nepal and the Madhesi People's Right Forum, makes a step towards ending all aspects of discrimination against Madhesis, indigenous peoples/janajatis, dalits, women, backward classes and minorities.  There are various points made, which include honoring activists who were killed, providing relief to the injured, proportional representation in all structures of government, Commissions, sovereignty of the State, identity, language and culture of the Madhesis, religious festivals, dalit-related problems, citizenship, distribution of revenue, property, the Constituent Assembly election, and the United Nations.
