Women's Participation in the Constitution-Making Process in Afghanistan
This document is produced by the U.S.-Afghan Women's Council, a sector of the U.S. Department of State. This fact sheet on women's participation in the Constitution-making process in Afghanistan details the vitality of constitutions defining women's rights, as well as women's participation in drafting the Constitution. It also includes information on the period of public consultation and the Constitutional Loya Jirga, and also offers some conclusions. It was released in 2009, and offers a fact sheet of the ongoing historic process.
