Ukrainian parliament amends constitution to restrict members' immunity

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine finally amended the Constitution and restricted the immunity of the MPs. 373 lawmakers voted for the bill #7203 as 112 Ukraine reported. The bill provides the amendment of Article 80 of the Constitution of Ukraine. Particularly, this article reads: “MPs of Ukraine are guaranteed with the parliamentary immunity” and norm, which states that “the lawmakers of Ukraine cannot be prosecuted, detained or arrested without the agreement of the Verkhovna Rada” are withdrawn.
